This park is where you’ll find all kinds of mesmerizing scenery including the Botanical Gardens. The parks has species with all kinds of different backgrounds, monuments and a (plastic) dinosaur park. Bosphorus Strait divides Europe and Asia and connects the Black Sea and the Sea of Marmara. It is truly the heart of Istanbul, dotted with elaborate parks, sumptuous Ottoman mansions, palaces, upscale hotels, churches, mosques, and other historic landmarks. This monumental palace was constructed between 1843 and 1856 and is one of the largest palaces in Turkey with 285 rooms, 46 halls, 6 baths (hamam), and 68 bathrooms. It boasts the largest collection of Bohemian and Baccarat crystal chandeliers in the world and is decorated with gold, glass, crystal, marble, and other expensive stones.
Istanbul
In case you didn’t bring any long clothing you will encounter at the entrance disposable tunics and headscarf (at an extra charge). My mom and I planned to take the Eze & Menton tour through Carnival. At $49.99 per person, we thought it was a good deal, and a great way to visit some of the smaller hilltowns since we'd been to Monaco and Nice before. My initial reaction to the Breeze was that it was very very nice!
Naples (Amalfi/Pompeii), Italy
Again, walking would the best options as this is the way to get lost in all of the small enchanting streets of the city where hardly any traffic is allowed. The palace was the residence of the last six Ottoman Sultans, and Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the first president and founder of the Turkish Republic. In the surroundings of the bazaar craftsmen’s workshops were installed over time, forming union streets that were also covered by vaults and today feature more than 58 streets and 5.000 stores.

To use public transport, please refer to the transportation information to see more details. Hagia Sophia is located at Sultanahmet Square in the old part of Istanbul, approximately 3 km (1.9 miles) or a 40-minute walk from the port of Istanbul. With its 15 million inhabitants, Istanbul is the largest city in Turkey and the only city in the world spreading on two continents, Europe and Asia.
Topkapi Palace
Tenerife Island is visited by around 5 million tourists annually, making it archipelago's most visited. The island is served by two airports - Tenerife South (aka Reina Sofia) and Tenerife North (aka Los Rodeos). Check out some pics of the town and you might wonder why the buildings are so perfectly white. Or maybe you won’t wonder, since it’s easy to just get lost in awe of the island’s picturesque beauty, of how perfect it all just happens to be, from the Cycladic architecture with brilliant blue accents to the stoic windmills.
European & Mediterranean Cruises
If you are definitely interested in something you like, I suggest comparing the prices at different shops before you buy it, then go back to where you got the best deal but do not buy it yet! Start to bargain and I guarantee you will get a better price than expected. Do not show excessive interest since the seller could realize it and not lower the price. The Blue Mosque is situated right in front of Hagia Sophia in Sultanahmet Square.

A Look at the Carnival Legend’s 2024 Itineraries in Europe.

I'm planning on showing several photos of the Breeze and am happy to answer any questions about my experience on this ship. I realize it is no longer sailing in Europe, but the Caribbean, but I believe Carnival's new Sunshine ship as well as the Legend will be doing a similar itinerary to what I did. So I'll also try to touch on each of the ports and how we chose to spend our time there. You might want to skip the formal tours and merely wander around the port town, browsing local shops or grabbing a coffee or snack in a local cafe. Some so-called Mediterranean cruises actually spend most of their time on the Adriatic Sea, sailing from Venice and visiting ports in Croatia and Greece, and sometimes Montenegro and Albania.
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
We took a look at factors like weather and sea conditions, festivals and, of course, pricing, to determine which travel dates are right for you. The Med, as it's known, is a year-round destination, with seasonal wine festivals and bustling holiday markets. What time of year you're looking to sail depends on if you want to soak up the coastal sun or save a little money and avoid the crowds in the process.
It is very easy to get around the city, as all main city attractions are located within walking distance. Everyone has their favorite list of the best Mediterranean cruise ports (as evidenced by the discussion I just had with TPG's cruise team about which to include). Some travelers want to hit all the most popular cities, while others prioritize the ability to walk right off the ship into the heart of the town. Some ports are better for historical attractions, others for cafe culture or outdoor activities. Which luxury line is best for your Mediterranean cruise will come down to what you're looking for in a luxury ship and a European itinerary. However, Regent Seven Seas Cruises and Silversea Cruises stand out for including a large variety of shore excursions in their cruise fares.
In ancient times it was said that all roads lead to Rome… but in your case, the seaport of Civitavecchia is your road to Rome. Get there and you’ll find out what made the place so popular. Take a walking tour of Rome’s many historical landmarks and enjoy the lively sidewalk cafés, ending the day alla romana strolling through the atmospheric Centro Storico. The Mediterranean is an amazing region to cruise, and a sailing there is a wonderful introduction to Europe for travelers who have never been.
The lines to get into the theater were pretty nuts, and it was very chaotic waiting to get out. I felt the ship was very very large, and could easily accommodate all of the passengers without feeling too crowded and busy. I'm pretty claustrophobic and hate crowds, so I was pretty aware of this. One concern I've heard from many people was with regards to crowds and long lines on the ship.
You may also find an Adriatic sailing wrapped into longer Western or Eastern Mediterranean cruises. You’ll find a bus station just outside of the port, but please know you do not need it in town. Pretty much the entire city centre of Cadiz is pedestrian zone and the busses only go around. You are missing out if you take the bus to travel the city centre. This is the cadiz cruise dock where your ship will dock hem in port. This is nowadays the cities main square due to its historical significance.
